During the interaction, the beneficiaries shared insights on how this scheme has transformed their lives.

One of the beneficiaries from UP's Raebareli said, "We promise you that we will make India a developed India together. Now, we do not face problems in getting a license from the government...I run a bakery. My monthly turnover is 2.5 to 3 lakh rupees and we have a staff of 7 to 8 people."

Lavkush Mehra, a beneficiary from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, shared his experience and said that he started his business in 2021 and today he is earning Rs 50 lakhs.

"Earlier, I used to work for someone, was a servant, but you took our guarantee through Mudra loan and today we have become owners. I started my business in 2021 and I approached the bank, they gave me a loan limit of Rs 5 lakh. I was afraid that I am taking such a big loan for the first time and whether I will be able to repay it or not. Today, my Mudra loan has gone up from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs. 9.5 lakhs. And my first-year turnover was Rs 12 lakhs, which has now become more than Rs. 50 lakhs," Mehra said.

Replying to Lavkush Mehra, PM Modi said that the Mudra scheme is not for "Modi's praises."

"This scheme is to give courage to the youth of my country to stand on their own feet," the PM said.

A 21-year-old beneficiary from Gujarat's Bhavnagar, who is in his final year of graduation, shared his experience and said that he runs a tech lab in Gujarat.

"I am the founder of Aditya Tech Lab in which I do 3D printing, reverse engineering and rapid prototyping and also a little bit of robotics as I am a final year student of mechatronic. I took Mudra loan of Rs 2 lakh and I go to college from Monday to Friday and then on weekends, I do my work in Bhavnagar. So right now, I am earning Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 per month," he said.

The Prime Minister said that Rs 33 lakh crore has been given to the people of the country without any guarantee.

"I want the youth of my country to come into this field in greater numbers. Under the Mudra scheme, Rs 33 lakh crore has been given to the people of the country without any guarantee," he said.

The PM said that among all these beneficiaries, some have provided employment to one, some to 2, and some to 40-50 people. "This massive task of providing employment generates the economy."

"In the Mudra scheme, the highest number of women have come forward. Women have applied for the most loans, received the most loans, and are also the fastest to repay them," the PM asserted.

PM Modi in a post on X, said that the Mudra Yojana has given opportunities to countless people to showcase their entrepreneurial skills.

"Interacted with some of the beneficiaries of the scheme. Their journey is inspiring," he posted on X with a video interacting with beneficiaries at his residence in the national capital.

Today, India marks 10 years of the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY). PMMY, the Flagship Programme of the Prime Minister, aimed at funding the Unfunded micro enterprises and small businesses. By removing the burden of collateral and simplifying access, MUDRA laid the foundation for a new era of grassroots entrepreneurship.

While I appreciate the success stories, I wish the article had more details about repayment rates and how many businesses actually fail. It's important to show the complete picture of such schemes.

My cousin got a Mudra loan to start his mobile repair shop. Two years later he's employing 3 people! The collateral-free aspect makes all the difference for small entrepreneurs.

52 crore loans is a staggering number! Even if half of these succeed, that's millions of livelihoods created. The economic ripple effect must be enormous.
