Patna, March 30: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Sunday said that the NDA alliance in Bihar is a "winning combination" for the upcoming state elections.

He said that the NDA alliance has repeatedly sat together at different times and discussed election strategies and understood each other's issues.

"Look, it is election time and the way NDA allies have repeatedly sat together at different times and discussed election strategies and understood each other's issues, the strength with which this alliance is moving forward not only shows that we work like hand in glove but it is a winning combination in itself", Paswan said while addressing reporters here.

Furthermore, Paswan spoke about the Waqf Amendment Bill and stated that his party had made it clear the the bill must go to the Joint Parliamentary Committee from the first day and every stake holder related to the committee presented their views. He stated that LJP supports the report of the JPC committee.

"We had made it clear from the beginning that this bill should at least go to the committee. I am happy with the way it was sent to the JPC. We wanted that everystake holder associated with it should get a chance to present his views. Every stakeholder associated with the Waqf presented his views before that committee. We had made it clear from the beginning that the day the report of this committee comes, LJP will support it", Paswan said.

Bihar BJP leaders held a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Patna on Saturday. Many key strategies related to the upcoming Bihar assembly polls were discussed.

Assembly elections is scheduled to be held in the State later this year.
