24 companies to invest Rs 3,516 crore under PLI scheme for ACs and LED lights
New Delhi, Jan 20: With as many as 24 beneficiary companies committing an investment of Rs 3,516 crore in the third round, the government's production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme is poised to significantly boost the production of components of ACs and LED lights across India, according to a Commerce and Industry Ministry statement on Monday.

New Delhi, January 20: The Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods has received a significant boost with a total of 24 beneficiaries committing investments of Rs3,516 crore during its third round of applications, as announced by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Total value of imports to Israel USD 89.5 billion in 2024
Jerusalem, January 14: The Israel Tax Authority reported that the total value of all imports in 2024 amounted to USD 89.5 billion, an increase of only 1 per cent compared to 2023. In December 2024, it amounted to USD 9.3 billion, an increase of 29.5 per cent compared to the value of imports in December 2023. The increase was largely explained by a sharp increase in vehicle imports. The value of imports would have been higher in December 2023 if it were not for the security threat in the transfer of goods through the Red Sea.
