Dharamshala, April 17: Amid heavy rain and a hailstorm alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), strong winds struck Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday night, uprooting trees in Dharamshala and nearby areas. Several regions also faced power outages as trees fell on power lines.

Shimla, April 17: A sudden storm accompanied by strong winds and light rainfall swept across various parts of Himachal Pradesh late Wednesday night, causing damage at multiple locations. In the state capital, Shimla, several uprooted trees led to road blockages, and locals are facing difficulty.

Orange alert in four districts of Himachal Pradesh; IMD issues alert for rain, snow

New Delhi, February 26: The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and snowfall across Himachal Pradesh for the next three days. The IMD has also issued an orange alert for four districts in the state on February 27. Senior Scientist of the Shimla-based IMD, Sandeep Kumar Sharma, said that following a western disturbance, "rain and snow activity is increasing in Himachal Pradesh."

Western disturbance brings snowfall to upper Himachal, more expected on 26th: IMD

Shimla, February 20: Himachal Pradesh has witnessed widespread snowfall and rain in the past 24 hours, particularly in the higher-altitude regions. The districts of Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, and Shimla, along with the higher mountain areas of Chamba, received fresh snowfall. Additionally, snowfall was recorded in the Dhauladhar range of Kangra, the upper reaches of Mandi, and the Churdhar region in Sirmaur.

Dense fog in Delhi-NCR parts, train services disrupted
