India's EVMs cannot be connected to internet, ECI sources on Tulsi Gabbard's Voting Machine manipulation statement

New Delhi, April 11: Amidst US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's claims of finding evidence of massive vulnerabilities in voting machines that have allowed hackers to flip votes and tamper with elections, an Election Commission of India (ECI) source on Saturday said that some countries use Electronic Voting Machines which are a mix of multiple systems, machines and processes which also include internet and other private network.

No Internet, Bluetooth in Indian EVMs make them unhackable: ECI sources

New Delhi, April 11: A US official's claim over possible hacking of electronic voting systems in that country was on Friday met with a reassuring calm by the Election Commission of India (ECI) with sources highlighting the Indian EVMs' superior technology and no use of Internet or Bluetooth during voting as foolproof shields against manipulation.

SC dismisses plea seeking 100 pc counting of the VVPAT slips

New Delhi, April 7: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea seeking direction to the Election Commission of India (ECI) that there should be 100 per cent manual counting of the VVPAT slips in addition to electronic counting by the control unit of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM).
