Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami sets target of 1000 startups in the next five years

Dehradun, April 27: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Startup Samvad program under Mukhya Sevak Samvad at Mukhya Sevak Sadan Dehradun on Sunday. During this time, he interacted with people promoting startups from across the state and heard their valuable suggestions. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released a book titled Unnat Uttarakhand and visited various stalls based on various startups.

DPIIT reviewed mega infrastructure projects worth over Rs 14,096 crore

New Delhi, April 23: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Secretary, Amardeep Bhatia, chaired a high-level meeting to review mega infrastructure projects in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. The review meeting, conducted under the aegis of the Project Monitoring Group (PMG), was attended by senior officials from central ministries, state governments, and project proponents.

New Delhi, April 23: Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) which is responsible for fostering industrial growth and internal trade reviewed mega infrastructure projects in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand.The total cost of these projects exceeds Rs14,096 crore, according to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry in a release.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra to begin on June 30 after three-year hiatus

Uttarakhand, April 21: The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is set to resume on June 30, 2025, after being suspended for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pilgrimage will follow the traditional route via Lipulekh Pass in Pithoragarh and will be jointly organised by the Uttarakhand Government and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Uttarakhand farmers earn Rs 2.6 crore in 5 months supplying livestock to ITBP under state scheme

Dehradun, April 21: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) battalions located in the border districts of Uttarakhand were dependent on big cities for the supply of mutton, chicken, and fish till October 2024. However, as per the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Uttarakhand Animal Husbandry Department has now entered into a direct contract with the local livestock farmers through the ITBP. After this, in the first five months, 253 farmers from four border districts have generated a business of Rs 2.6 crore with the ITBP.

Kedarnath Dham to reopen on May 2

Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand), April 19: The doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham will officially reopen on May 2 while that of Shri Badrinath Dham will open on May 4, a spokesperson from the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) said.
