River embankment projects in Tripura expected to be complete in two months
Agartala, April 23: Tripura's Public Works Department Secretary, Kiran Gitte, announced that the embankment projects for all rivers in the state are underway. These projects include the construction of new river embankments as well as the renovation of the existing ones.
Brahmaputra Board prepares master plans for management of NE & North Bengal rivers
Agartala, Feb 28: The Brahmaputra Board under Union Jal Shakti Ministry has identified 70 rivers under its jurisdiction and for which master plans are either prepared or to be prepared for better management of these rivers including controlling erosion and removal of siltation, top officials said here on Friday.

Tripura CM attends flood relief & management programme for 700 victims
Agartala, February 11: A flood relief and management programme was organised at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan here. The purpose of the event was to help victims of the flood which recently hit the state. Several organisations have taken a step forward to help the victims affected by the calamity. On Tuesday, a programme was organised by Abhay Mission and was attended by CM Manik Saha.
