Assam to give Rs 342 crore to tea workers: CM Sarma

Guwahati, March 13: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Thursday that the state government will distribute at least Rs 342 crore to provide one-time assistance to tea workers as a mark of recognition towards their tireless efforts in making tea industry a backbone of the state.

Bhopal, March 1: Announcing that Madhya Pradesh has attained an impressive 13 per cent growth this year, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday said that paddy farmers will be given an amount of Rs 4000 per hectare, doubling the previously announced Rs 2000 per hectare. Kolkata, Feb 12: Amid the crucial Assembly polls due next year in West Bengal, Minister of State for Finance Chandrima Bhattacharya, on Wednesday, presented a Rs 3,89,194.09 crore budget for the financial year 2005-26 at the floor of the state Assembly with enhanced dearness allowance and higher budgetary allocation for the state's own affordable housing scheme for the poor being the main attractions of the budget proposals.
