Big gift to pilgrims: Amit Shah lauds Cabinet's approval of ropeway projects in Uttarakhand
New Delhi, March 5: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday lauded Union Cabinet's decision to approve the construction of ropeway projects to Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib shrines and said that the projects were a gift to the pilgrims to take forward the resolve of 'development as well as heritage.'

New Delhi, March 5: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the construction of two ropeway projects at a cost of Rs 6,811 crore to provide last mile connectivity to pilgrims visiting the holy temple at Kedarnath and the Gurudwara at Hemkund Sahib, both in Uttarakhand.
Hemkund Sahib ropeway to benefit old, specially-abled devotees
New Delhi, March 5: As the decision for the Hemkund Sahib ropeway in Uttarakhand stands approved, the union cabinet on Monday briefed about its benefits, saying that it would assist the devotees in reducing their time to reach the pilgrimage site. The ropeway is especially beneficial for old and specially-abled people.
