GBS outbreak: Maharashtra reports 12 deaths; no new cases today

Mumbai, March 8: The Maharashtra Public Health Department on Saturday said that a total of 12 deaths have occurred so far due to GBS in Maharashtra of which six were confirmed as GBS and six were reported suspected GBS deaths. No new suspected GBS case was reported on Saturday.

Bomb threat found non-credible: American Airlines after Delhi-bound flight diverted to Rome

New Delhi, February 24: American Airlines has said that the "bomb threat on board", due to which its flight AA 292 from New York to Delhi was diverted to Rome and made a dramatic landing on Sunday under fighter escort has been declared "non-credible". However, it said that the Delhi Airport protocol, required the aircraft to be inspected elsewhere before being cleared to land.

181 patients diagnosed with GBS in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Feb 16: Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme of Maharashtra’s Public Health Department said that a total of 181 patients have been infected with Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) in the state so far while no new case was reported on Sunday.

Mumbai, Feb 12: A 53-year-old man, a resident of Wadala, who working as a ward attendant at the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation's VN Desai Hospital, died of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) at Nair Hospital. This is the first death reported in Mumbai due to GBS.

Maharashtra: 167 Guillain-Barre Syndrome cases detected

Pune, February 11: The Maharashtra Health Department on Monday reported that a total of 192 suspected cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) have been detected in the state so far, with 167 confirmed cases, confirmed the Maharashtra Health Department.
