Chamoli avalanche: Last missing worker's body found, toll rises to 8, rescue mission comes to an end

Chamoli, March 2 : The death toll in the massive avalanche in the Mana area of Uttarakhand's Chamoli climbed to eight, with the bodies of all the four missing workers found on Sunday, leading to the end of the rescue mission, officials said.

Dehradun, February 28: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday said that the rescue mission was underway to pull out workers of the Border Roads Organization who got trapped under snow in the aftermath of a massive avalanche that that struck near Mana village in the Chamoli district of the state today.

Nagarkurnool, February 22: Telangana Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy assured that the state government was making every possible effort to safely rescue the eight workers trapped inside the SLBC tunnel at Domalapenta in Nagarkurnool district, according to the statement.
