MP govt begins wheat procurement at new MSP from today
Bhopal, March 15: The Madhya Pradesh government has commenced wheat procurement at designated mandis across the state from today. The crop will be procured at the newly announced Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 2600 per quintal, which includes additional assistance of Rs 175 per quintal.

Rabi crop sowing in current season crosses 661 lakh hectares
New Delhi, Feb 4: The total farm area sown in the country under various rabi crops in the ongoing season so far has crossed 661.03 lakh hectares up from 651.42 lakh hectares in the same period of the previous year, according to official figures released by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare on Tuesday.

Rabi crop sowing in India exceeds 632 lakh hectares
New Delhi, January 14: Rabi crop sowing area has exceeded 632 lakh hectares in the country as per the data released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Tuesday.The Ministry added in a release that about 320 lakh hectares coverage under wheat has been reported as compared to 315.63 lakh ha during the corresponding period of last year.
