PM Modi to flag off Rameswaram-Tambaram new train service on Ram Navami

Chennai, April 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu on April 6. On the occasion of Ram Navami, at around 12 noon, he will inaugurate the new Pamban Rail Bridge - India’s first vertical lift sea bridge and flag off a train and a ship from the road bridge and witness the operation of the bridge.

DMRC achieves final closure for remaining corridors of Phase 4 line

New Delhi, April 4: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Friday achieved final closure for the remaining corridors of the Phase 4 ((Inderlok - Indraprstha, Saket G Block - Lajpat Nagar and Rithala - Narela - Nathurpur) with the signing of the first tranche of loan agreement between Government of India and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on 27th March 2025 for an amount of 79,726 million Japanese Yen (Equivalent to about Rs 4309.53 crores).

Rs 267 crore sanctioned for various road projects in Himachal Pradesh: Vikramaditya Singh

Shimla, April 3: Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Thursday said that the Union Government has sanctioned Rs 267 crore for various projects, including national highways in Himachal Pradesh. He stated that a total capital expenditure request of Rs 1,400 crore was submitted to the Union Government for the financial year 2025-26, out of which Rs 267 crore was released in the first phase, an official statement from the Office of PWD minister said.

209 MW solar plants have been set up at 2,249 railway stations: Vaishnaw

India surpasses US, Europe by producing 1,681 locomotives for FY2024-25

New Delhi, April 2: India has emerged as a global leader in railway locomotive manufacturing, achieving a record production of 1,681 locomotives in the financial year 2024-25. This milestone surpasses the total locomotive production of regions such as the United States, Europe, South America, Africa, and Australia, reaffirming India's growing dominance in the global railway sector, the Ministry of Railways said in an official statement.
