HM Amit Shah hails NCB, Delhi police for busting narco-smuggling network

New Delhi, March 31: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday lauded the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi Police for mounting a joint operation in its fight against the narco syndicate and busting a major network in the Delhi-NCR area, leading to recovery of contraband drugs valued at Rs 27.4 crore.

Punjab Police to tighten noose around big fish in drug trafficking

Chandigarh, March 27: With the street supply of drugs witnessing a drastic reduction following intensive crackdown as part of the ongoing war against drugs 'Yudh Nashian Virudh', Punjab Police has now shifted focus to dismantling high-level drug networks by targeting big fish, including drug suppliers and kingpins, fuelling the narcotics trade in the state, said Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav here on Thursday.

Anti-Drug Operation: 290 smugglers held; 232 FIRs registered in Punjab
