KIWG 2025: Army jawans dominate as Himachal Pradesh close in on gap on Day 3

Gulmarg (J&K), March 11: The Indian Army continued its impressive run on the penultimate day of the Khelo India Winter Games here on Tuesday, clinching four medals to stay on top of the medal standings. The Army quartet of Narsingh Thapa, Rajeshwar Singh, Sunil Rai, and Vishal Chandal clinched the ski mountaineering men's relay with a timing of 49:58.1 to grab the limelight.

Gulmarg: , March 10 (IANS) Maharashtra’s Siddharth Gadekar and Tenzin Dolma of Himachal Pradesh were the stars on Day 2 in challenging weather conditions in the second leg of the Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG) 2025 at the scenic Kangdoori slopes here on Monday. Defending champions Indian Army continued their golden run in the second leg, clinching four medals, including two gold, one silver, and one bronze, to sit atop the medal standings with overall four gold, four silver, and five bronze medals.

'Amazed' to receive Tenzing Norgay Award, says mountaineer Uday Kumar

New Delhi, Jan 17: Uday Kumar, a resilient mountaineer who summitted Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, with an amputated leg, on Friday said he is amazed after President Droupadi Murmu bestowed him with the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here.
