Himachal Pradesh: Falling tree kills 6, injures 6 in Manikaran

Kullu, March 31: A landslide incident occurred on Sunday in Manikaran when a massive tree, along with soil and debris from a nearby hill, fell on the road in front of the Manikaran Gurdwara, resulting in six deaths and multiple injuries, as per the Shimla Police.

Orange alert in four districts of Himachal Pradesh; IMD issues alert for rain, snow

New Delhi, February 26: The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and snowfall across Himachal Pradesh for the next three days. The IMD has also issued an orange alert for four districts in the state on February 27. Senior Scientist of the Shimla-based IMD, Sandeep Kumar Sharma, said that following a western disturbance, "rain and snow activity is increasing in Himachal Pradesh."
