Khelo India Para Games 2025: Punjab's Jaspreet Kaur breaks powerlifting national record; TN keep lead

New Delhi, March 23: The fourth day of the second edition of the Khelo India Para Games saw Punjab's powerlifter Jaspreet Kaur grab the headlines. Jaspreet became the first athlete in KIPG 2025 to break a national record. In the 45 kg category, the 31-year-old lifted 101 kg to claim the gold medal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium complex on Sunday, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) said in a release.

Pitted against Odisha’s special quadruple amputee archer in Payal Nag, Jammu and Kashmir’s Sheetal triumphed 109-103 in their compound archery open final encounter.

New Delhi, March 21: Tamil Nadu's Ramesh Shanguman gave his state a flying start as track and field events in athletics started on Day 2 of the Khelo India Para Games 2025 here on Friday. A former basketballer, Chennai's Shanguman won the first gold of the Games and it came in the men's 800m T53/T54 event.
