Indo-Russian venture bids to supply AK-203 assault rifles to Kerala Police

New Delhi, April 15: Kerala Police could soon become the second Indian security agency to get domestically produced Kalashnikov assault rifles after the Indian-Russian joint venture Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL), registered and located in India, announced its decision to participate in a tender for the supply of AK-203 assault rifles for the local outfit.

Kerala Police arrest 57 of 59 accused in 18-year-old's sexual assault case

Pathanamthitta, January 20: Kerala Police have arrested all but two accused in connection with the sexual assault of an 18-year-old Dalit girl in Pathanamthitta district. Since the first case was registered by the Ilavumthitta Police on January 10, the Special Investigation Team arrested 57 out of the 59 accused, except for two who are abroad, according to the police.
