President Droupadi Murmu gives assent to Waqf Amendment Bill
New Delhi, April 6: President Droupadi Murmu has given her assent to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which was passed by Parliament during the budget session of Parliament. The President also gave her assent to the Mussalman Wakf (Repeal) Bill, 2025, which has also been passed by the Parliament.

New Delhi, February 3: Amid criticism over the JPC report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee, Jagdambika Pal said on Monday that the opposition is trying to push a certain agenda and has submitted a dissent note on 281 pages out of a total of 428 pages report.
