Mumbai, January 9: Amid concerns surrounding the Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) virus, Maharashtra Health Minister Prakash Abitkar on Wednesday reassured the public that the state health department is working efficiently in this matter and no one has to worry about it.
Chandigarh, January 7: Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh on Tuesday said that there is no case of HMPV virus in the state of Punjab so far. He further stated that there is no need to panic, as it is not serious like Covid, and assured that the medical infrastructure is available to combat any surge.
Mumbai, January 7: Following the discovery of two suspected cases in Nagpur, Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif said there is no need to panic but children and elderly with co-morbid conditions need to stay alert.
Bengaluru, Jan 6: In the wake of the detection of two cases of the Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) virus in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that the government will take appropriate precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the infection.
