Union Minister Gadkari approves Rs 1645.72 crore Vrindavan Bypass to ease Mathura traffic

New Delhi, April 5: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Saturday announced the approval of a 15.34-kilometre-long, six-lane access-controlled Vrindavan Bypass project in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh. The project, sanctioned at a cost of Rs1645.72 crore, is expected to significantly cut travel time and decongest traffic around the pilgrimage town of Vrindavan.

Cabinet okays Rs 3,712 crore Patna-Sasaram 4-lane highway project

New Delhi, March 28: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday approved the construction of the 4-lane access-controlled greenfield and brownfield Patna-Arrah-Sasaram corridor starting from Patna and stretching across 120 km to Sasaram in Bihar.

Centre approves Rs 9,599 crore to maintain National Highways in FY25

New Delhi, March 27: To maintain the vast National Highway (NH) network, the government has approved short-term maintenance contract (STMC) works in 17,884 km length, costing Rs 2,842 crore, and performance-based maintenance contract (PBMC) works in 6,118 km length, costing Rs 6,757 crore, in the current fiscal (FY25), Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, said on Thursday.

CCI clears Cube's acquisition of ADTPL, AJUHPL, QEPL

New Delhi, March 25: The Competition Commission of India has approved acquisition of Athaang Devanahalli Tollway Private Limited, Athaang Jammu Udhampur Highway Private Limited and Quazigund Expressway Private Limited by Cube Highways Trust and Cube Highways and Infrastructure V Pte. Ltd, a release said.
