SA Women's Open golf: Avani placed in Top-10 with 4-under 68; Tvesa in 32nd spot

Cape Town, April 11: Avani Prashanth placed herself in the top 10 after a bogey-free 4-under 68 in the opening round at the SA Women’s Open golf tournament. Avani had two birdies on either side of the Par-72 course and trailed the leaders, France’s Perrine Delacour and Germany’s Aline Krauter, by three shots at Erinvale Country & Golf Estate.

Wasim struck seven birdies and a bogey during his opening round on Tuesday, a release said.

The experienced Vani (72-72), winner of the fourth and fifth Legs, is now even-par 144 for 36 holes and two shots clear of Sneha Singh (71-75), who closed the day with a double bogey on Par-5 18th for a card of 3-over 75. Tied with Sneha in second place is amateur Anvvi Dahhiya (71-75).
