Israel's rate of wasting food sharply increased during war
Tel Aviv, March 31: Israel's national food bank, Leket (collection) Israel and BDO reported that the war in Gaza increased the scope of food waste in Israel by an additional 1.6 billion Shekels (USD 430 million), which is flowing out of the public's pockets. Food wastage: India fares better than global annual average of 79 per kg per capita
New Delhi, March 13: As per United Nations Environment Programme Food Waste Index Report 2024, the estimated food wastage in India in 2022 is 55 kg/capita/year which is significantly lower than the global average of 79 kg/capita/year, shows official data.
