Chandigarh, March 4: With the police raiding houses of farmer leaders in view of the protest in Chandigarh on Wednesday, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has slammed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for "ignoring" farmers.

Punjab Assembly passes resolution rejecting Centre's draft on agricultural marketing

Chandigarh, Feb 25: Amidst the absence of BJP's two legislators in the 117-member house, the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution against the Centre's draft National Policy Framework on Agricultural Marketing, terming it an "attempt to bring back the three farm laws repealed by the Centre in 2021 following widespread farmer protests".

Talks with farmers end on positive note; next meeting on March 19

Chandigarh, Feb 22: The second round of meeting between a three-member Central government delegation, led by Union Minister for Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and protesting farmer unions ended here after three hours on Saturday night with a positive approach and cordial manner.

Chandigarh, Feb 14: The fifth round of talks after a gap of almost a year, between protesting farmers -- mainly from Punjab and Haryana -- and the central team led by Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi, ended on Friday with both sides having agreed to meet again on February 22 amid the attendance of Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
