Avani Prashanth shoots 65 to finish tied-13th in Australia
Coffs Harbour, March 17: Avani Prashanth shot a superb 5-under 65 in the final round of the Australian Women's Classic and registered a solid top-15 finish in her maiden season on the Ladies European Tour. With earlier 72-70, she totalled 3-under 207 and finished six shots behind the winner, Manon De Roey, who birdied the final hole to pip Cara Gainer to the title.

Coffs Harbour, March 15: It was a tough day for the Indian duo in the opening round of the 2025 Australian Women's Classic. Rookie Avani Prashanth with 2-over 72 was the best at Tied-55th, while Pranavi Urs (73) and Diksha Dagar (74) were further behind in T-79th and T-88th places. They were also hit by a lack of any practice rounds at a course which took a beating because of a cyclone, according to the Australian Women's Classic press release.

After the cancellation of last week’s event in Brisbane, this week’s event has been reduced to 54 holes and will begin on Friday. The three Indians were also due to play in Brisbane last week, but the event was called off due to a cyclone.
