Lok Sabha takes up bill to ensure safety of boilers

New Delhi, March 25: Lok Sabha on Tuesday took up for consideration and passing the Boilers Bill, 2024 which emphasises Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and seeks to benefit boiler users, including those in the MSME sector.

New Delhi, March 25: Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal introduced the Boilers Bill, 2024 in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday to replace the over century-old Boilers Act, 1923 to improve trust by decriminalising some offences and removing obsolete provisions to enhance ease of doing business.

Gandhinagar, January 28: Gujarat, with a significant contribution of 8.20 percent to the nation's GDP in the financial year 2022-23, has emerged as a key state driving India's economic growth. In 2015, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the "Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP)" initiative was introduced to enhance ease of doing business. In line with this, the "Ease of Doing Business (EoDB)" framework was launched, along with state/UT rankings/ assessments to facilitate business operations, a statement said.

CII moots 10-point agenda for ease of doing business reforms

New Delhi, Jan 12: Ahead of the Union Budget 2025-26, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Sunday shared 10-point agenda to further improve ease of doing business (EoDB) in the country where urgent policy interventions would be immensely helpful.
