Gujarat expands drone manufacturing, training in 19 ITIs

NIT Srinagar signs MoU for launching course in drone technology

Srinagar, Feb 25: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) to launch a 6-month course on drone technology and a DGCA certified drone training centre, NIT spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Rajasthan govt to enhance drone-based mining practices

Jaipur, Jan 7: Experts will directly engage with mineral leaseholders in Rajasthan to introduce advanced drone techniques for volumetric assessment and mineral management in the mining sector. State Principal Secretary of Mines and Petroleum, T. Ravikant, announced that from April 1 all minor mineral leaseholders must conduct drone or aerial surveys of their lease areas, including a 100-metre buffer zone, and submit comprehensive reports.
