J-K: Cold wave persists in Srinagar as temperature drops to 0 degrees

Srinagar, February 15: The cold wave continued in Jammu and Kashmir's capital, Srinagar, as the city recorded a minimum temperature of 0 degrees Celsius on Saturday, while the maximum temperature reached 13 degrees Celsius. Several other towns in the Kashmir Valley experienced similar weather conditions.

Fog engulfs Delhi as mercury dips to 10.8 °C

New Delhi, January 31: A layer of fog covered the National Capital on Friday as the city recorded a minimum temperature of 10.8 degrees Celsius at 5:30 am, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Jaipur, Jan 27: Parts of Rajasthan again experienced intense cold as the temperature in many cities dipped. Fatehpur in eastern Rajasthan recorded a minimum temperature of 0.5 degrees Celsius on Monday morning while Sangariya in the western part of the state registered a minimum temperature of 1.4 degrees.

The thick fog caused visibility levels to plummet to near zero in several areas, significantly impacting transportation services, especially rail and flight operations.

Srinagar: Thin layer of ice forms on Dal Lake as cold wave continues to engulf Kashmir

Srinagar, January 13: Amid the ongoing cold wave in the Kashmir valley, the iconic Dal Lake in Srinagar developed a thin layer of ice on its surface on Monday. Earlier, on Sunday, Srinagar had recorded a steep decline of 3.1 degrees Celcius in its seasonal minimum temperature, with the mercury settling at -5.1 degrees Celsius during the coldest hour of the day.

MeT department warns of hailstorms, rain in Rajasthan parts

Jaipur, Jan 13: The Meteorological (MeT) Department on Monday warned of a new western disturbance which will reach Rajasthan on Tuesday, bringing a likelihood of rain and hailstorms in districts like Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, and Kota on January 14 and 15.
