WHO South-East Asia chief stresses need to address birth defects; calls for enhanced health system, better coverage
New Delhi March 1: Saima Wazed, Regional Director for WHO South-East Asia, emphasised that birth defects have a significant impact on the quality of life of an individual, many of which are preventable through health system interventions and by addressing environmental factors.
