New Delhi, January 14: Demonstrating resilience and growth, the domestic automobile sales recorded a surge of 11.6 per cent, standing at over 2.54 crore units in calandar year (CY) 2024, compared to about 2.28 crore, as per the data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Tuesday. As per the data released by the industry body, in December 2024, the sales of Total Passenger Vehicles recorded an increase of 10 per cent from the same period the previous year at 3,14,934 units. According to the data, sales of Total Three Wheelers in December saw an increase of 3.5 per cent at 52,733 units, however, the sales of Total Two Wheelers saw a dip of 8.8 per cent, at 11,05,565 units in the same month
Two-wheelers, tractor volumes to outpace passenger vehicles and trucks in FY25-27: Jefferies
New Delhi January 9: The volume of two-wheelers (2Ws) and tractors will grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13 to 15 per cent, outpacing passenger vehicles (PVs) and trucks between financial year (FY) 2025-27, stated a report by Jefferies an investment banks and financial services company."We expect 2Ws and tractors to grow at strong 13 per cent and 15 per cent CAGR respectively over FY25-27E (FY25E: 12 per cent and 6 per cent)," says the report.The report added that the volume growth of passenger vehicles and trucks segment is expected to grow at a rate ranging from 5 to 8 per cent.

Bajaj auto domestic sales slumped in December, offset by rise in exports
New Delhi, January 1: In December 2024, Bajaj Auto's total sales (including two-wheelers and commercial vehicles) stood at 3,23,125 units, marginally lower by 1 per cent compared to 3,26,806 units in December 2023. This slight decline was primarily driven by weaker domestic sales, while exports continued to perform well.
