New Delhi, April 2: Ministry of State Home Nityanand Rai on Wednesday said that currently there are no issues with the online payment module on the Delhi Traffic Police website.

In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, whether the Delhi police webpage for online payment of the traffic challan is riddled with glitches, he said that the webpage to settle the challan online is hosted on the official website of the Delhi Traffic Police. "In the event of any technical glitch, such issues are promptly reported to the technical team for check and resolution at the earliest."

He further said that the payments made on the Delhi Traffic Police website are reflected in real-time, and challans are successfully updated.

Earlier in the day, Rai highlighted the Ministry of Home Affairs' efforts to promote Hindi, ensuring compliance with constitutional provisions and accelerating its use in official work, in line with the Official Language Resolution of 1968.

Rai stated, "The Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, is striving to ensure compliance with the constitutional and legal provisions and to accelerate the progressive use of Hindi in the official work of the union."

He said, "In accordance with the official Language Resolution of 1968, the Department of Official Language issues an annual programme every year for the use and promotion of Rajbhasha Hindi in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, setting targets for the progressive use of Rajbhasha Hindi."

In another written reply by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai to Rajya Sabha member Ratanjit Pratap Narayan Singh's question of the details of modernisation initiatives introduced to enhance operational efficiency, training and the equipment of paramilitary forces.

The approval is to increase the operational capability level of CAPFs, AR, and NSG through their transformation into a techno-savvy, professional, well-trained, and equipped Force with contemporary state-of-the-art technology, armament, etc., to carry out their missions and duties within the country as well as at International Borders.
