Our aim is that our youth should not only become job seekers but also job providers," he said.

He said that initiatives like 'State Millet Mission', 'Farm Machinery Bank', 'Apple Mission', 'New Tourism Policy', 'New Film Policy', 'Home Stay', and 'Solar Self-Employment Scheme' are strengthening the local economy of the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was addressing the students from across the state at the closing ceremony of the fourth edition of Oho Hill Yatra "Rajat se Swarn ki Aur" organized at Mukhya Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister's residence.

CM Dhami claimed that the government has left the national average behind by reducing the unemployment rate of the state by a record 4.4 cent. "The government's 'One District, Two Products' scheme is increasing local livelihood opportunities along with this, our traditional products are getting wide recognition at the national and international level through the 'House of Himalayas' brand," he stated.

Appealing to all the people of the state, CM Dhami said that along with celebrating the silver jubilee year of the establishment of the state of Uttarakhand, we have to move forward with the resolve to make our state a leader in every field.

The Chief Minister asserted that if every citizen of the state contributes with full loyalty, dedication and honesty in his respective field, then no power can stop Uttarakhand from becoming a developed, self-reliant and prosperous state.

He further said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is rapidly working to develop modern infrastructure in the state in areas like education, health, roads, sports, drinking water and air connectivity.

"Along with this, work is being done towards making a developed India and developed Uttarakhand through 'Local for Vocal', 'Make in India' and 'Startup India'," he added.

"With the encouragement of the Prime Minister, Adi Kailash and Winter Yatra have got new momentum in the state. The state government has a big responsibility to organize the grand and historic Nanda Devi Yatra in the year 2026 and Kumbh in 2027," Dhami said.

The Chief Minister said that it is the result of these efforts that, despite various challenges, our state has achieved many remarkable achievements in the last 3 years, whose echo is being heard all over the country today.

"The decisions being taken in Uttarakhand are becoming a model for the country," he stated.

Chief Minister Dhami also said that it is a matter of great pride that Uttarakhand has got the first place in the country in the index of achieving the goals of Sustainable Development for the year 2023-24 released by NITI Aayog. He said that along with this, the state has also got the category of Achievers in Ease of Doing Business and Leaders in Startup Ranking.

"Recently, in the grand and successful event of the 38th National Games held here, the players of the state have succeeded in creating history by winning more than 100 medals and securing 7th place in the country," he added.

CM Dhami said that by implementing the Uniform Civil Code first in Uttarakhand, we have presented an ideal in front of the country. "While on one hand we implemented the country's strictest anti-copying law in Uttarakhand, we also made a law to stop religious conversion; for the first time, in the state, action was taken against land jihad, love jihad and spit jihad, while we did not shy away from taking strict action against influential corrupt people," he said.

Chief Minister Dhami also said that as a result of the strict anti-copying law, more than 22 thousand youth of the state have got government jobs in the last three years.

There should be a proud return of migrants to Uttarakhand instead of the pain of migration, where our villages are self-reliant and equipped with technological resources and modern facilities. With the motto of 'Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi', our cultural identity should become even richer so that future generations can be proud of it. Our government is continuously committed to fulfilling its "Vikalp Rishta Sankalp" of making Uttarakhand the best state in the country.

While I appreciate the government's efforts, I wonder how accessible these opportunities will be for rural youth. The initiatives sound great on paper, but implementation in remote hill areas might be challenging. Hope there's equal focus on digital infrastructure in villages.

The 'House of Himalayas' brand is such a smart move! 🏔️ Our traditional products deserve this kind of recognition. My cousin started a small organic spice business last year and this could really help him scale up. Exciting times for Uttarakhand entrepreneurs!

As someone who returned from Delhi to start a homestay in Kumaon, I can vouch for how transformative these policies are! The New Tourism Policy has made things so much easier for small operators like me. More power to our CM for focusing on sustainable development.

The reduction in unemployment rate is impressive, but I hope they're also tracking the quality of jobs created. Not all employment is equal - we need more high-skilled, well-paying opportunities to truly transform the state's economy.

The Apple Mission could be revolutionary for our hill farmers! 🍎 So many families in my village depend on apple orchards. If the government provides proper support with technology and marketing, this could change lives. Fingers crossed!
