Las Vegas, Jan 18: The iconic MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is set to undergo a stunning $300 million remodel that will redefine luxury accommodations in Las Vegas. With an emphasis on modern design elements inspired by the disco era, this extensive renovation aims to elevate the guest experience significantly.
A Comprehensive Renovation
MGM Grand has announced that every one of its 4,212 rooms and suites in the main tower will be remodeled, with the first phase available for reservation starting March 1, 2025. The complete transformation is expected to wrap up by December 2025, promising a fresh and sophisticated ambiance for guests.

The remodel is being executed by the renowned global architecture firm Gensler, in collaboration with MGM Resorts Design & Development. Inspired by the glamour of the disco era, the redesign aims to create a playful yet elegant atmosphere. Guests can expect bold artwork and dynamic patterns that celebrate the hotel's rich history while looking forward to its future.

The upgraded rooms will feature:
Spacious walk-in showers with sleek glass enclosures
Integrated closets with mirrored, illuminated interiors
Enhanced blackout drapery for optimal sleep
Wall-mounted TVs for space maximization
Minibars equipped with separate guest-use refrigerators
King and Queen Rooms will showcase unique design elements such as rich walnut wood finishes and vibrant carpet designs for King Rooms, while Queen Rooms will feature lighter stone finishes and tailored headboards.
An Expanded Suite Selection
The remodel will introduce 111 new suites, increasing the total to 753. Ranging from 675 to 2,572 square feet, these suites will blend dark ebony and walnut wood finishes with lighter tones for a welcoming feel.
