A Vision for Anime Culture

Founded by CEO Sion Yip, INCUBASE aims to be a nurturing base for anime cultural experiences. The name "INCUBASE" combines "Incubation" and "Base," reflecting its mission to foster creativity and express diverse ideas through anime. Despite being considered a "subculture" in Hong Kong, Yip believes that anime significantly influences daily life and has the potential to reach a wider audience.

"INCUBASE aims to nurture the anime experience, positively impacting society and providing opportunities to introduce anime culture to a broader audience," Yip stated.

New Hong Kong Location: A Cultural Hotspot

The newly opened INCUBASE Arena in Mong Kok spans over 20,000 square feet, occupying the basement levels B1 and B2 of Chong Hing Square. The B2 level is dedicated entirely to exhibitions, while B1 features a range of facilities including an expanded INCUShop filled with diverse anime merchandise. Other attractions include popup spaces, card battle zones, capsule toy areas, personalized card machines, and photo booths, all designed to enrich the visitor experience.

The inaugural exhibition at this location is the "Chainsaw Man Animation Exhibition - Hong Kong," which recreates content from the original Japanese exhibition and features an exclusive area for local fans. Star voice actor Kikunosuke Toya attended the opening ceremony as a special guest, alongside the popular Pochita mascot.

"The new venue offers more space for a diverse exhibition experience, making it convenient for visitors in Mong Kok. We have exciting plans for 2025 to continue bringing unforgettable anime experiences," Yip added.

INCUBASE Arena Malaysia: A New Anime Experience

Opening its doors on the second floor of Fahrenheit88 in Kuala Lumpur, the INCUBASE Arena Malaysia is already making waves with the "Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Exhibition." This event attracted over 400 participants, setting a record for the largest Kamen Rider belt gathering in Malaysia's history.

In addition to exhibitions, INCUBASE Arena Malaysia will regularly host various activities and feature an INCUShop for local fans, offering a refreshing anime experience.

During the opening ceremony in Malaysia, Yip expressed gratitude to anime fans and shared ambitious plans for future expansion into other Southeast Asian countries, mainland China, Taiwan, and potentially regions like the Middle East, Europe, and America.

With the launch of new locations in Hong Kong and Malaysia, INCUBASE Arena is dedicated to creating a world-class hub for anime experiences. Fans are invited to join this creative journey and celebrate the vibrant culture of anime through engaging events and exhibitions.
