KISSIMMEE, Fla., Jan. 16: Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) has been honored with a $200,000 grant from Chick-fil-A, Inc.
as the top Southeast Regional Winner of the esteemed Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards program. This annual initiative, launched in 2015, aims to uphold the legacy of generosity and community service established by Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy.
Supporting Families in Need
The grant will significantly boost GKTW's mission to cultivate joy, inspire optimism, and instill a lasting sense of hope in children facing critical illnesses and their families. GKTW provides magical weeklong, cost-free wish vacations at its 89-acre, fully accessible resort located in Kissimmee, Florida.
This year, GKTW is one of 56 grant recipients across North America and the U.K., sharing in a remarkable total of $6 million allocated by Chick-fil-A, Inc. Organizations selected for this grant demonstrate a commitment to addressing crucial issues aligned with Chick-fil-A's corporate social responsibility priorities: Caring for People, Caring for Others Through Food, Caring for our Communities, and Caring for our Planet.

GKTW caters to over 30,000 children diagnosed with critical illnesses annually in the U.S., with many families choosing to visit Central Florida's theme parks. The nonprofit fulfills these wishes by providing an all-inclusive experience that encompasses transportation, accommodations, meals, entertainment, theme park tickets, daily gifts, and much more. Since its inception in 1986, GKTW has welcomed nearly 200,000 families from all 50 states and 77 countries, allowing them to create cherished memories away from medical treatments.
