"No, there is no such cut. Funds are being given for all schemes. We are in talks about building a high-end bridge in Spiti. So, instead of going just into numbers, whatever schemes are being told to us personally too, funds are being made available for those schemes too. Tribal areas have expanded. So, look into through schemes and not just the budget. Funds are being made available for all schemes. Two power projects are about to come here. This will generate employment for the locals. All projects for the region are going to come," CM Sukhu told reporters

He was asked about the allegations of the cut for Lahaul and Spiti & other tribal areas in the state.

Inspired by Babasaheb's ideals, the Chief Minister said that the present state government was committed to building a self-reliant and prosperous Himachal Pradesh.

"Despite the challenges posed by the reduction in GST compensation and significant cuts in revenue deficit grants by the 14th and 15th Finance Commissions, the State Government has taken major steps to strengthen the fiscal system. The positive outcomes are now visible, and we seek continued public support to carry this momentum forward," he said.

Employment generation through power projects sounds promising, but I hope the government ensures proper training for locals to actually benefit from these opportunities. Skill development should go hand-in-hand.

Respectfully, the CM's statement about funds being available for all schemes contradicts what my cousin in Lahaul has been experiencing. Maybe there's a delay in disbursement? Would appreciate more transparency on fund allocation.

Power projects are good, but what about sustainable energy options? Himachal has so much potential for hydro and solar - hope they're considering renewable sources too!

As someone from Spiti, I'm cautiously optimistic. We've heard big promises before that took years to materialize. Will believe it when I see actual construction starting! Fingers crossed 🤞
