James Gunn's upcoming film, Superman, is one of the highly awaited superhero films of this year. It stars David Cornswet in the lead role. Nicholas Hoult will play the character Lex Luthor. It was earlier played by Jesse Eisenberg in 'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' in 2016.
James Gunn took to his Instagram handle and shared an exclusive photo of Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor in the film. The monochrome photo featured Nicholas in a shirt and tie.
While sharing the picture, he wrote, "In celebration of the 85th anniversary of Lex Luthor, here's an exclusive photo of @nicholashoult as Lex in our upcoming movie, @Superman."

James Gunn recently released a teaser of the film, which was followed by a short video featuring additional footage, including the superfight and new looks of Nicholas Hoult's character, Lex Luthor.
In this brief glimpse of the film, Superman, the last son of Krypton, is seen rescuing the residents of the metropolitan city while fighting the giant lizard that can spit fire.
It also featured a shot of the Supe shielding a young girl from a nearby explosion. The teaser starts with Superman calling his friend and dog Krypto for help while he is severely injured. Glimpses of what is likely to be the Fortress of Solitude, Superman's home, are also seen.
New looks of Nicholas Hoult were also seen as he exited from his luxurious vehicle. The teaser also includes footage of Superman in flight, bobbing, weaving, and executing a corkscrew motion as he flies through gaps in jagged ice.
The film will release on July 11, 2025.
