Taking to her Instagram, she wrote how her life has "changed profoundly" in the three weeks since she was shot in the face, reported People.

Earlier, Romano announced that on February 7, while shooting clay pigeons in Texas as part of husband Brendan Rooney's birthday celebration, she was struck in the eye by "another party." Now, in her latest update, she said the experience has left her "feeling more grateful than I've ever felt in my life" as she's been "healing really well."

"Every day, to me, is a gift," Romano wrote in her Instagram caption. "I used to be so closed off about sharing the things in my life I loved out of fear of being judged. Now I just don't care," according to People.

"I'm going to share more about my hobbies, passions, comedy, family, just stuff that I care about," she added. "It might be me singing in the car, it might be my obsession with skincare and beauty, or fashion, or cooking, or me just acting like a total weirdo with my husband. If it brings me joy and it's not hurting anyone, I'm doing it," as per the outlet.

She also found some humour in her situation through a video skit she uploaded alongside her caption.

In the video, as her husband asked her about their car's condition, her eating their Oreos, and multiple package deliveries arriving at their home, she said, "I just got shot in the face".

"Also, like I told you @thebrendanrooney I got shot, and I'm gonna eat all the damn Oreos, wherever and whenever I want," Romano jokingly concluded her caption.

When sharing that she was struck by a bullet last month, she assured fans that she was "safe" following the incident, which left her with a wound underneath her eye, a fragment stuck in her eye and another fragment lodged in her forehead.

"Doctors will continue to monitor me," the actress wrote at the time, noting that she was able to "see normally at the moment," reported People.

During the birthday celebration, Romano was shot by a "another party" who "unsafely fired in the wrong direction," she shared. She was hit in five different places, one of which was "less than an inch from hitting me directly in my right eye." Her husband, she wrote, "immediately sprung into action, assessed me and rushed me to the hospital."

"With everything that happened, all I can think about is how grateful I am to be alive," added Romano -- who shares two daughters with Rooney. "I love my daughters, husband, family and friends so much. I saw my life flash before my eyes and I'm telling you, hug the people around you every chance you can. Life can change in an instant," reported People.
