A controversy surfaced last week when Prasanna Agoram, a former data analyst for South Africa and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) who frequently appears on the channel, condemned CSK's choice to select Afghanistan wrist-spinner Noor Ahmad despite Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja being part of the squad. Agoram claimed the team might have been in a better position had they chosen another batsman instead of a third spinner.

The video was removed following intense reactions on social media as CSK faced their third consecutive defeat. This included their first home loss to RCB since 2008 and their first home loss to Delhi Capitals (DC) since 2010. Currently, CSK is placed ninth on the standings with two points from four matches.

Noor is presently the Purple Cap holder in the tournament with ten wickets over four bowling innings, while Ashwin and Jadeja have four wickets combined from eight bowling innings.

The admin of Ashwin's Youtube channel on this incident said: "Given the nature of the discussions on this forum over the last week, we want to be mindful of how things can be interpreted and have chosen to step away from covering CSK games, both previews and reviews, for the rest of this season. We value the diversity of perspectives that come through on our shows and remain committed to ensuring the conversation stays true to the integrity and purpose of the platform we've established. The views expressed by our guests do not reflect Ashwin's personal opinions." The admin of Ashwin's Youtube channel said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost to the Delhi Capitals (DC) at their home ground of Chepauk Stadium. With this win, DC is at the top of the points table with three wins in three games. On the other hand, with just one win and three losses, CSK has slid down to the ninth spot.

Sad to see this happen. Ashwin's analysis was always top-notch. CSK fans need to understand that criticism is part of the game. Noor Ahmad is performing well anyway! 🤷‍♂️

As a CSK fan, I'm disappointed by this decision. We should welcome different perspectives - that's how teams improve. The channel was just being analytical, not disrespectful.

Respectful criticism here: While I understand Ashwin's stance, removing content because of backlash sets a bad precedent. Cricket analysis should be about facts, not fan feelings.

The irony! Noor Ahmad is now the Purple Cap holder while this controversy was about him being a "wrong" selection. Cricket always has the last laugh 😄

Social media outrage culture ruining good cricket content again. Ashwin's channel was one of the few places for proper technical analysis. Now we're left with just fan reactions.

Maybe this is for the best. When emotions run high, it's good to take a step back. Hope CSK turns things around and we can have more balanced discussions next season! 💛
