Amaravati, Dec 10
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed the heads of all the departments in the State to make use of technology extensively to provide efficient administration.
dDuring a review with the officials of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) and other departments, he emphasized that all departmental information should be integrated through the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) to enable comprehensive monitoring. The Chief Minister made it clear that initially, all necessary information should be gathered and then integrated to ultimately provide the best possible service through WhatsApp. Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to design the system, making WhatsApp a platform for obtaining certificates like caste and income certificates. He highlighted the need for quick disposal of public appeals, utilizing technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and DeepTech.
Additionally, he suggested that RTGS should examine the process of resolving complaints and assess the level of people's satisfaction. He instructed officials to integrate visuals collected through drones, CCTV cameras, satellites, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Mentioning that ganja plantations recently identified through Google Maps had been verified with the help of drones, the Chief Minister urged officials to use drones similarly to identify pests in crops and alert farmers. He also proposed using drones to investigate the causes of road accidents on highways to address issues leading to mishaps.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that farmers were pleased with grain procurement in the State, and in opinion gathering through IVRS, over 90 percent of farmers expressed satisfaction regarding the prices offered for their stocks, transport facilities, availability of gunny bags, and payments made to them. The Chief Minister noted that better services could be provided by understanding the level of satisfaction among farmers.
Chandrababu also instructed officials to properly analyze postings on social media and take necessary actions based on their findings. When the officers informed him that household geo-tagging had reached its final stage, he stressed the need for proper supervision of this process.
The Chief Minister is particularly focused on bringing Aadhar services closer to the people and has sanctioned Rs 20 crore for purchasing necessary kits. He announced plans to set up 1,000 Aadhar centers at all village and ward secretariats as soon as possible. Chandrababu stated that a single portal would be created for supervising various projects in the State and for providing real-time updates on the 80 projects being undertaken by the Centre. He directed that a fresh web portal be created by January 1 to permanently resolve issues related to issuing birth and death certificates.
