While talking with ANI, Dr. Sarkar provided information about the Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) event. He mentioned that the event has been successfully organized for the last six years by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education. The first three editions of PPC were held in New Delhi in a town-hall interactive format.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fourth edition of PPC was held online and telecasted on Doordarshan and major TV channels. However, the fifth and sixth editions returned to the town-hall format and took place at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.

Dr. Sarkar shared that in the previous year (2023), approximately 31.24 lakh students, 5.60 lakh teachers, and 1.95 lakh parents participated eagerly in the contests. He also mentioned that the 7th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha witnessed a massive registration of 2.26 crore on the MyGov portal, indicating widespread enthusiasm among students across the country.

This year, Pariksha Pe Charcha is scheduled to be held on January 29, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event will follow a town-hall format, and around 3000 participants will have the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister.

Dr. Sarkar highlighted that two students and a teacher from each state and union territory, along with winners of the Kala Utsav, have been invited as special guests for the main event. Additionally, a hundred students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) from different parts of the country will be attending the event for the first time.

To participate in the contest, an online MCQ competition was conducted on the MyGov portal between December 11, 2023, and January 12, 2024. Students from classes 6 to 12, teachers, and parents were eligible to participate. Participants were selected based on their questions on the MyGov portal and will be presented with a special Pariksha Pe Charcha kit that includes the "Exam Warriors" book written by the Prime Minister in Hindi and English, along with a certificate.

Dr. Sarkar emphasized that Pariksha Pe Charcha is part of a larger movement called 'Exam Warriors', led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The movement aims to create a stress-free environment for young individuals and brings together students, parents, teachers, and society to celebrate and encourage each child's unique individuality.

Before the main event, a series of activities were organized at the school level from January 12 to January 23, 2024, in celebration of Youth Day. These activities included a marathon run, music competition, meme competition, nukkad natak (street play), student-anchor-student-guest discussions, and more.

Furthermore, on January 23, 2024, a nationwide painting competition was held in 657 Kendriya Vidyalayas and 122 Navodaya Vidyalayas across 774 districts in India. Over 60 thousand students enthusiastically participated in this mega event, which revolved around exam mantras from the book "Exam Warriors" written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
