Earlier today, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing a media report, said that the reforms initiated by the Prime Minister have transformed the education sector.
"Reforms initiated by PM @narendramodiji have transformed our education sector and have led to groundbreaking progress in all aspects," Pradhan said in a post on 'X'.
"For the first time ever women have outnumbered men in 5 out of 7 top UG courses. Female students' enrolment has gone up by 76 lakh in the last 5 years. With Gross Enrolment Ratio achieving a new high of 28.4%, female GER is more than that of male students for the last 5 years," he said.
A media report has pointed out that India's higher education has made significant progress in the last five years, with increased enrollment and participation of women in top undergraduate programs.
