School students of the Barhampur district got a free ride in the Brahmapur-Tata Nagar Vande Bharat Express on its inaugural run on Sunday.
The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
150 students of the East Coast Railway Mixed Higher Secondary school, Khurda boarded the train to take a free ride to the Khurda Junction during its inaugural run.
Priyanka Sahoo, a student of Class 10th said that this was her first time in a Vande Bharat train and she was feeling good about travelling in the train.
"I am feeling very nice about travelling in the Vande Bharat train. The Prime Minister will be inaugurating the train. Everything is clean on the train, there are cameras and food service. We are excited," she said.
"The Vande Bharat trains are very clean, and the washrooms in this train are very good. We are very happy with all the services provided," said another girl.
Another student said that the service in the Vande Bharat trains had improved significantly including the safety and clean washrooms.
"I am very happy that I have got the chance to travel in this train. I have travelled in Vande Bharat trains before, and I am really happy I got the chance to come here with my friends. The services in the trains have improved significantly including the safety, automated doors and clean washrooms. The country is developing at a good rate," the student said.
Earlier today, PM Modi virtually flagged off the trains from Tatanagar in Jharkhand.The trains will improve the connectivity on Tatanagar - Patna, Bhagalpur - Dumka - Howrah, Brahmapur - Tatanagar, Gaya - Howrah, Deoghar -Varanasi, and Rourkela - Howrah routes.
The introduction of these Vande Bharat Express trains will benefit regular travellers, professionals, business and student community.
