State capacity building workshops launched to harness emerging technologies for improved governance

n an initiative aimed at advancing the digital landscape of governance in India, the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has rolled out State Capacity Building Workshops as part of the Digital India program.
These workshops, organized in partnership with knowledge partners, seek to unravel the potential of emerging technologies in enhancing service delivery and help shape policies and strategies to embrace the evolving digital era, read the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The inaugural State Capacity Building Workshop commenced in Maharashtra, running from October 9 to October 12, with the participation of more than 28 officials representing various departments of the state government.
Over the course of four intensive days, the workshop aims to acquaint policymakers and public officials with emerging technology initiatives, ensuring the seamless adoption and implementation of these advancements in the state.
The workshop's inauguration was presided over by Ms. Nima Arora, Director IT, along with senior officials from NeGD and the Wadhwani Institute of Technology and Policy (WITP), read the press release.
