Waterloo Brewing Invests in New Packaging Capability

W

aterloo Brewing (or the Company) (TSX: WBR), today announced it will now be producing 15 can packs in paperboard packaging, a higher quality format with significantly better graphics capability and lower environmental impact than plastic based formats.

We are always looking for investments in the business that create a better experience for our consumers, improve efficiencies, and are better for the environment, said Russell Tabata, Chief Operating Officer, Waterloo Brewing. Nothing looks better on shelf than paperboard packaging and it better reflects the quality and effort we put into the beer itself.

This investment in higher quality packaging for our Laker, Landshark and Waterloo craft beers and reduced environmental footprint is another step to improve the competitiveness of our brewery and our ongoing efforts to be good environmental stewards, said George Croft, President and CEO. It will also allow us to retain and grow our important co-pack business today and into the future, added Croft.
