WellSet Launches in Los Angeles Market to Make Preventative Healthcare More Accessible

ellSet, the first-of-its-kind technology booking platform connecting wellness seekers and trusted peer-reviewed practitioners, announced today that it has officially launched to consumers in the Los Angeles market.
Consumers can easily discover, book and purchase sessions directly with thousands of curated and vetted practitioners across 30 different modalities including acupuncture, massage therapy, functional medicine, craniosacral therapy, nutrition, coaches, and holistic therapists. The platform offers a search and filter functionality based on health concern, price, location, and practitioner type.
The first 10,000 people to join the WellSet waitlist will receive a $20 credit towards their first session booked on the platform when WellSet is available in their city.
With 90% of US healthcare dollars going towards preventable conditions, we knew that preventative healthcare needed an update, said Tegan Bukowski, CEO & Co-Founder, WellSet. We created WellSet to be a robust tool that not only takes word-of-mouth referrals online but also helps people discover their practitioner support system to address health concerns before they become acute.
The wellness tech startup already has a national queue of 7,000 practitioners. The company has also enrolled a critical mass of practitioners across the country, including 15 major markets and plans to expand to New York City and San Francisco in the coming months.
I joined WellSet to reach new clients who may not have found me before WellSet existed, said Daphne Lim, a Los Angeles based practitioner who specializes in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. For example, WellSet makes it so easy for clients to search by their health concerns, so now women who are trying to conceive and those who are struggling with stress and anxiety will be able to find specialized practitioners like me.
Health and wellness practitioners nationwide can sign up for free to list their practice on WellSet to increase revenue, access and enroll new clients, and easily manage bookings and payments in one central place.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, WellSet is led by Tegan Bukowski, CEO and Co-Founder, Sky Meltzer, Executive Chairman, Co-Founder and former CEO of Manduka, and Hanna Madrigan, COO, previously at Pinterest. The company secured pre-seed funding last year led by prominent private equity, and wellness and tech angel investors including Kleiner Perkins, Broadway Angels, a female-driven Silicon Valley angel investment group, Kelly Noonan Gores, writer, producer, director of HEAL documentary and former Pinterest executive, Natalie Fair.
