COVID-19: No more 'Janata Samvad' at Kejriwal's house

T

he fear of coronavirus has reached the official residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as the 'Janata Samvad' has been closed till further order.

"The 'Janata Samvad' is closed at the residence of the Chief Minister from Tuesday, till further orders," an official told IANS.

The step, the official said, has been taken in the interest of the public and also to avoid the spread of coronavirus in the city.

Kejriwal has been holding the thrice-a-week meeting with aggrieved citizens at his residence in Civil Lines soon after he became the Chief Minister in February 2015.

The Delhi government on Monday has barred public gathering of more than 50 people in the city as a precautionary measure to check the spread of coronavirus.

Kejriwal said seven coronavirus cases were reported in Delhi, of which four are recovering in hospitals.

"One death has been reported so far, while two people have recovered," he said.
