Corbett National Park

The Corbett National Park is the India's first National Park cradled in the foothills of the Himalayas along the banks of the Ramganga River. It has the dense Sal forests and the tall grassy meadows for the habitation of the big mammals. The animals include gharial, tiger, leopard, elephant, bear, hog, sambar deer, muntac and fox. The park has more than 300 species of birds and t he common birds seen here are ducks, snipe, egrets, herons, spotted eagle, harrier, wood pecker,darter, cormorants and thrushes.

Nanda Devi National Park

The Nanda Devi National Park in the vicinity of Nanda Devi Peak has a unique combination of flora and fauna. The animals include snow leopard, brown and Himalayan black bear, bharal, Himalayan thahr, nonal and chir pheasants.

Kedarnath Sanctuary

The Kedarnath Sanctuary of the fascinating garhwal Himalyas offers a spectacular viewing of mountains and valleys, forests and grasslands, butterfles and flowers. The animals of the place are Snow leopard, leopard, thar, serow, snow cock and musk deer.

Rajaji National Park

The Rajaji National Park situated on the edge of the Dehradun valley in the Shivalik ranges has animals such as elephant, tiger, panther, bear chital, sambar, wild boar, kakar, python, monitor lizard and a large variety of avifauna.

Chilla Sanctuary

The Chilla Sanctuary on the east bank of the Ganga is a paradise has animals such as elephants, tigers, bear and gorals.
