Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan. It has the wealth of historic attractions and colourful markets which specialises in antiques.

It is still one of the leading centres of trade for wool, cattle, camels and salt. 

Places of Interest:

Mehrangarh Fort - 'Mehrangarh', meaning the Majestic Fort is one of the largest forts in India. It has some of the most intricately adorned palaces with exquisitely carved panels, latticed windows and brilliant stained glass. There are three gates each built to commemorate a particular victory. Some of the important palaces are Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana.

Umaid Bhavan Palace and Museum - Built by Maharaja Umaid Singh, this exquisite palace also known as Chhittar Palace has Indo-Colonial style of architecture. The building was constructed without using cement but made of interlocking blocks of sandstone. The museum inside the palace has a collection of weapons, antique-clocks, crafts, crockery and hunting trophies belonging to the Maharaja.

Government Museum - The museum has a collection of weapons, textiles, miniature portraits, local crafts and images of Jain Tirthankars.
