Srinagar

Srinagar of the Kashmir valley is the summer state capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a spectacular hill station with shimmering Dal Lake, Anchar Lake and Nagin Lakes.

It has the charming rows of houseboats floating on these lakes which enhance the picturesque setting of Srinagar. Apart from the blossoming gardens, Srinagar also offers aquatic sports’ activities such as kayaking, canoeing, water surfing and angling.

It is also famous for exquisite handcrafted souvenirs. The famous and largest lake, Dal Lake has the maximum number of houseboats.

By Air: Various airlines fly to Srinagar from New Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Jammu. 

By Rail: Srinagar's railhead is Jammu.

By Road: Srinagar is connected by an all weather road to Jammu, which in turn is connected to many parts of North India.
